Computer Backups and Carbonite

Carbonite Online Backup

I can not tell you how many times someone in my family has been frantic because they lost files. You know that feeling. When all of a sudden everything you worked so hard on or some of your irreplaceable pictures are lost forever. It can be devastating!

Just last month my daughter lost 8 chapters of a book she was writing. She loves to write and has been spending a lot of time this summer writing a book. One day she turned her computer on and found that what she was writing would no longer open and said that the file was corrupt. She spent 2 days trying to get it all back but finally gave up and realized that she had to start all over a again.

Over the years, I have lost many files. The ones that bother me the most are when they are pictures that I have never printed so they are lost forever. I always tell myself to make copies of everything and to create a computer backup but I never get around to it. Life is busy and those are the things that you never think of until it is too late!

Carbonite is a great program that has unlimited online backup and it is always working in the background backing up your files whenever your computer is connected to the internet. I love that once it is set up you do not have to keep remembering to do a backup because everyone knows that I would never get around to doing it!

The feature that stands out the most to me is that you can access the documents, pictures, and music that you have backed up anytime, anywhere, from virtually any Internet connected device! That would make my life much easier since I am constantly faced with sitting at a different computer or my iPad and wishing that I could access my files. I would even be able to travel and not have to bring my full size laptop!

I know you all love deals, so here is a deal for you… Enter the code BLOGAD when you purchase Carbonite and you will get two free months!

I can relate to this. When this happened to me, the only thing I worried about was my photos. Thank goodness a computer geek was able to salvage them from the hard drive.
