If you have been reading this blog for awhile you know that I did not jump on the Twitter bandwagon right away like most bloggers did. I do not have tons of free time so if there is not anything in it for me I do not want to waste my time. So many things start with a bang on the internet and then come to a crashing halt.
Next thing I knew everyone was on Twitter but me. I saw blog posts about making money on Twitter but still waited. Then I saw that Izea created Sponsored Tweets. This is when I sat up and took notice. I have been working with Izea for quiet awhile. I have been making good money on my blogs using their other sites so I knew I had to do it. They know how to make money!
Once my account was old enough to qualify I started to get offers. I love how simple it is. They give you a suggested price but you choose what you want to charge for a Tweet. When an offer comes in you can accept it or not. They send out the Tweet and you are done. The Tweet also includes a disclosure of your choice so your followers know that it was sponsored.
Sponsored Tweets even has celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Bob Vila, Sister Hazel, and Leann Rimes. The majority of the Tweeters are ordinary people like me though. So if you have a Twitter account you really should sign up for sponsored tweets.
